Amazing Women

By: Melissa Campanelli

Have you seen the Oscar-nominated movie “Hidden Figures” yet? If not, GO! And bring your daughters, nieces, mentors, mentees or any woman who means anything to you. This extraordinary story of three brilliant women of color who played significant roles in the nascent stages of our space program is so inspiring. And if you go, let me know what you think about the film by dropping me a line at mcampanelli@napco.com.

I shouldn’t be surprised by amazing women. I’ve seen firsthand what happens when women get together. The Women in Retail Leadership Circle (WIRLC) grew organically as we watched women connect with each other, learn from each other and help each other. It’s been a real privilege to help facilitate and join you on this journey.

Our big event coming up is the Women in Retail Leadership Summit at the Four Seasons Miami on April 26-28. I know many of you have already registered — and I can’t wait to see you there! — but if you haven’t yet signed up, please do so ASAP.

I’m putting the finishing touches on the agenda, which is going to be fabulous. Just check out some of the speakers we’ve already confirmed:

  • Diane M. Ellis, President, Chico’s, Chico’s FAS
  • Emma Mcilroy, CEO and Co-Founder, Wildfang
  • Sam Norpel, Vice President, Digital Commerce, David’s Bridal
  • Becky Gebhardt, Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, Lands’ End
  • Cat Belknap and Nat Telfer, Co-Founders, Social Common Media
  • Stefanie Taylor, Director of E-Commerce, Sears Holdings Corp.

And they are just a few of the awe-inspiring women who will help us all connect, learn and grow together this April in Miami.

I hope to see you there!!

P.S.: Check out more information about great women below! For starters, read through the list of Top Women in Retail 2017 from Total Retail (WIRLC’s sister publication). I’m sure you’ll be inspired by them all team task management software. And make sure to check out my in-depth interview with WIRLC associate member Patti Hester, who is the chief strategist at Platinum Circle Partners. Good stuff!
