The first day of a new month always feels like a fresh start … I love it.

As we all put the Halloween decorations away and swap out jack-o-lanterns for pumpkin pies, I can’t help but look ahead and get excited for the holiday season. Yes, it’s early, but they will be here before we know it! Below are just a few things I’m most excited about.

  • Thanksgiving: The unofficial kickoff to the holiday shopping season. Surrounded by family, friends and loved ones … and pecan pie 🙂 I’m feeling grateful not only for my family and friends, but for the fabulous WIRLC community as well!
  • Holiday TV Specials: Yep, I’m serious. Is it cheesy? Yes. Do I know the holidays are about more than sitcom specials? Of course. But real talk: it’s one of my all-time favorite guilty pleasures. Who can resist musicians crooning to holiday music or a lovable Thanksgiving fiasco all resolved in less than 30 minutes?
  • Women in Retail Leadership Summit: While the Summit isn’t until April 2018, the WIRLC team is already planning full force for the event. We can’t wait to share what we have in store for you 🙂 Don’t miss our big announcement about the Summit happening next week!

Lastly, I wanted to say a quick thank you to all of the women who made our Girl Talk events fabulous! Both our New York and San Francisco events were huge successes, with insightful presentations from a variety of smart, ambitious women. Keep a lookout for more podcast episodes to come from the two events.

Until next time,
