Hello Inner Circle readers!

I hope you’re all having a great start to summer, and are taking time to stop and enjoy the warmth of the sun, whether at the beach or in your own backyard! (Can you believe July 4 has come and gone? I don’t know about you, but the older I get, the faster time goes by. It’s almost sweater weather again!)

Today, I wanted to let you know that the dates for the Women in Retail Leadership Circle (WIRLC) events known as “Girl Talks – Passionate Presentations by Powerful Women,” have been set. The first Girl Talks event will take place in New York City on Oct. 3 at The Kitano Hotel. After that, we’re off to San Francisco for Girl Talks West, taking place on Oct. 23 at the Sir Francis Drake Hotel. Make sure to sign up today! Speakers will be announced soon.

Also, we have a great issue for you this week! For starters, be sure to check out part one of our health and wellness columnist Pam Scanlon’s article, “13 Steps to Happy, Healthy Eating.” (Part two will run next week.) I always like to learn ways to incorporate healthy eating into my life — especially during bathing suit season — and this article offers many ways to do just that.

Also, this week’s Summit Snippet (recorded live at the 2017 Women in Retail Leadership Summit!) features Amy Shecter, CEO of GLAMSQUAD, talking about why authenticity is critical to a brand’s success. You don’t want to miss out on Amy’s wise advice.

Finally, as I’ve mentioned before, we love to recognize WIRLC members when they achieve a personal or professional goal, or whenever they receive accolades, awards or honors. Well, this week I’d love to give a shout out to WIRLC member Jules Pieri, CEO and co-founder of The Grommet, who last week was featured in a list put together by Inc.com of “14 Boston CEOs You Need to Follow on Twitter.” Inc. told readers to follow Jules for “plenty of insights and stories about entrepreneurship.” Indeed. Way to go, Jules! And if you would like to follow Jules, her Twitter handle is @julespieri.

Enjoy!
