Oh yes, it’s ladies night … all day long!

That’s right ladies — I’m talking about International Women’s Day.

In Italy, women will be able to enjoy free access to museums and cultural sites, which will have exhibits celebrating “the feminine world.” In Russia, International Women’s Day is a century-old holiday that’s considered more important than Valentine’s Day, and is celebrated with flowers and chocolates. In the U.S., many women will be seen donning red and participating in the Day Without A Woman protest. From the political to the delightful, over 35 countries will be celebrating International Women’s Day in unique ways.

Here are just a few ways we’re celebrating the global holiday here at Women in Retail Leadership Circle:

  • Following the #BeBoldForChange conversation on social via Instagram and Twitter. Check in with us for conversation and inspiration throughout the day on what’s happening across the world at @WIRLeadership.
  • Gearing up for the Women in Retail Leadership Summit! With our favorite event getting closer and closer, we’re turning it up to 11 and adding new speakers and content each day! We can’t wait to hear from keynotes such as Emma Mcilroy, CEO and co-founder of Wildfang, and Cynthia DiPietrantonio, president of ALEX AND ANI. Want to join us? Sign up here. You don’t want to miss out on what’s going to be our best Summit yet.
  • Supporting our local girl gangs and texting our moms, BFFs, boss lady co-workers and others with a friendly reminder that they’re badass women who inspire us each day.

I’m looking at you, WIRLCers! Enjoy International Women’s Day!
