Women in Retail Leadership Circle (WIRLC) is excited to announce that Mary Beech, chief marketing officer of Kate Spade, has signed on to be a speaker at our Girl Talks East event, taking place at the Kitano Hotel in New York City on Oct. 13. We’re still working on the details of Mary’s talk, but are thrilled that she will be part of the event and couldn’t wait to let you know!

WIRLC’s “Girl Talks” are designed to get you thinking, get you talking and, most of all, help you improve your lives both personally and professionally. At Girl Talks, women retail executives gather with their peers to hear short, passionate presentations (each lasting 15 minutes, with five minutes for audience questions) delivered by powerful women leaders. We’re sure you’ll be inspired by their personal stories as well as gain new insights and ideas on everything from leadership skills, emerging retail technology trends, learning from failure, how to negotiate, and so much more!

Mary will be joining the other stellar speakers who have already signed up to be part of our “Speaker Squad” for the New York City event, including Rachel Shechtman, founder of Story, who will be discussing how to build your brand with storytelling, and Callie Schweitzer, editorial director of audience strategy for Time, Inc., who will speak about how to be an entrepreneur — and succeed — in a big company.

Make sure to grab your ticket today! The cost is $49 for qualified retailers and free for WIRLC members! (Members, please email me at mcampanelli@napco.com for the code!)

Buckle your seat belts and get set for a fun, fast-moving evening!

P.S. Stay tuned for some great news next week about our Girl Talks West event, taking place at the Sir Francis Drake Hotel in San Francisco on Oct. 27!
