If you’re like me, you’ve been hearing a lot about blockchain for months now, however, you’re still a bit fuzzy about how the technology works. And perhaps even more important, what the retail applications are for the technology.
Well, don’t fret; help is on the way. Julie Lyle, a dear friend of Women in Retail Leadership Circle (who gave a great presentation at the Women in Retail Leadership Summit earlier this year), is speaking on the topic of blockchain at a new event called Loyalty Live, taking place Oct. 16-18 at the JW Marriott in Chicago. Loyalty Live is designed to help retailers understand how blockchain can be applied to their businesses. Unlike other blockchain events, the focus here is on practical applications, not the technology in general. Loyalty Live is being hosted by Untraceable Inc., an events company that has been organizing blockchain events since 2013, from the First Bitcoin Expo in Canada to the first Ethereum hackathon in the world.
