I have some great news to report this morning: Jasmine Bellamy has joined the Women in Retail Leadership Circle’s (WIRLC) advisory board as its first-ever diversity and inclusion director!

In this role, Jasmine, who has a distinguished 25-year career in retail merchandising and currently holds a leadership position in merchandising at Gap Inc., will advise WIRLC’s board on matters such as association growth, content development and live events. She will also contribute to the Inner Circle e-newsletter.

“I’m thrilled to join the Women in Retail Leadership Circle board as its first diversity and inclusion director,” Bellamy said in a press release crossing the wires today. “While there’s a growing talent pool, a void of leaders that reflect the diversity of consumers still exists in the retail industry. It speaks volumes that WIRLC is taking a strategic approach in leading this necessary change.”

We, of course, are super excited that Jasmine has joined our board and will be actively involved in helping shape WIRLC’s future. She has a strong background in diversity leadership and education, and we know she’s the right person to help with our efforts to make WIRLC a more diverse community! Congrats Jasmine!
