Title: Senior Director of Customer Engagement
Reports to: General Vice President of Marketing, Chris Kobus
The Opportunity: Senior Director of Customer Engagement is a newly created role within the Sally Beauty marketing team
Location: Denton, Texas

The senior director of customer engagement is a “hands on” position where the employee is responsible for contributing to the achievement of revenue, traffic and expense control goals. The role is multifaceted and includes, among other tasks:

  • developing best-in-class, quantitatively derived and insight-based targeting strategies using robust analytics to define and prioritize the highest potential customer and deliver measurable return on investment;
  • providing strategic leadership for the CRM team to deliver multichannel programs to maximize customer value and brand engagement;
  • owning the customer database, including overseeing the management and improvement of it to ensure that it’s accurate as well as effectively and efficiently used to support marketing goals and functions;
  • setting the strategy for Sally’s loyalty program by continually driving innovation to keep it fresh and relevant for the purpose of retaining existing customers and acquiring new ones;
  • leading, developing and motivating people and teams;
  • managing program budgets and achievement of customer revenue targets; and

Sally Beauty is looking for a candidate that, among other things, has more than 10 years of experience in marketing (with an emphasis in direct marketing, CRM and/or loyalty programs); a strong knowledge of industry best practices in behaviorally triggered email programs and integrated cross-channel marketing; experience managing people and teams; strong business and process skills; and strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills.
