In this episode of Women in Retail Talks, Women in Retail Leadership Circle (WIRLC) Co-Founder Melissa Campanelli speaks with Cindy Marshall, founder and CEO of SHINE Strategy, and a WIRLC Advisory Board member. Listen in as Marshall talks about her career journey, what led her to found SHINE Strategy, and her recent work with many leading retailers and brands. She also shares her intimate story of struggling with a breast cancer diagnosis at age 48, the physical and mental changes she dealt with during her treatment, and how she stayed positive and believed she would overcome the disease. Marshall shares that the diagnosis forced her to put herself first for the first time in her life, and how now, after seven years of being cancer free, she no longer even sees cancer in her rear-view mirror. Marshall is currently writing a book in the hopes that sharing her story will help other women struggling with cancer or other challenges in their lives.
