Last year, it’s estimated nearly 3 million to 5 million protesters in the U.S. marched in the first annual Women’s March, making it one of (if not the) largest protests in history.  This past weekend — one year later — women gathered for the second annual Women’s March.

Nearly 50,000 women in Philadelphia, more than 200,000 protesters in New York, 300,000 in Chicago and nearly 600,000 women in Los Angeles attended the march. Many marched with signs, and were joined by friends and family. Rebecca Minkoff, who participated in the march, put the event and the overarching goal of inspiring women front and center of her new campaign. The designer has decided to skip the upcoming Fashion Week, instead choosing to to feature 20 powerful women making a change in society today as part of her see-now-buy now Spring/Summer 2018 collection.

“I began thinking about doing something that matters most to me, for the brand and actually just plain MATTERS in general,” Minkoff said in an Instagram post. “Right now, standing up for equality, empowerment and fundamental human rights is key more than ever before. We’ve profiled the committee of the Women’s March and strong feminist leaders of the movement as they rally from NYC to Vegas — bringing power to the polls. So excited to share these fearless women with you.”

When I think back on the year past — the women running for office, the brave women creating and supporting the Time’s Up movement, women fighting for more leadership roles in business, women and our allies turning out in huge numbers to participate in the Women’s March — it’s clear that this is a movement. And I can’t help but be excited for the year ahead.

Tell us, what are you most excited for in 2018?
