Women represented at the National Retail Federation’s (NRF) Big Show this year!
Dozens of women retail leaders appeared on all of the Big Show’s many stages as well as the Girls’ Lounge at this week’s event, doing what they do best: offering sage advice; discussing business strategy best practices; presenting tips on how to be fearless leaders; and more! Below find some of our favorite tweets from the Big Show, in no particular order:
.@InTheGroove1’s Susan Feldman on
two-way mentorship: I’ve learned so much from a 26-year-old that I sit next too. If people open up to someone they don’t know, it’s really beneficial. #nrf2019 #TheGirlsLounge pic.twitter.com/v17ME4C9zY— NRF Foundation (@NRFFoundation) January 14, 2019
Michelle Garvey, @jcrew, on mentors asking tough questions:

In “Mentorship All Around” @ellendavis asks: Describe the best mentors in three words. @BritandCo: Honest. Smart. Real. @Microsoft: Direct. Quick. Thoughtful. @InTheGroove1: Good Listener. Curious. Enthusiastic. @jcrew: Supportive. Challenging. Smart.#TheGirlsLounge #nrf2019 pic.twitter.com/v8GXe5PTKW

.@Microsoft’s Shelley Bransten: As I get more senior and manage bigger teams, having a younger mentee is a great way to get a pulse on what’s really going on in the company. They can become your “truth-serum”. #TheGirlsLounge #nrf2019 #mentorship pic.twitter.com/n1MsuNtbv4
